In Colossians 4, while Paul was in prison for preaching the gospel, he asked the believers at Colossae to watch and pray, like Jesus asked the disciples in Mark 14:38. Not only was it Paul’s desire that God would open a door for him to clearly speak about the gospel, he also instructed the believers at Colossae on how to represent the gospel (God’s redemptive plan) to the world.
