Don’t Follow Your Heart

Jeremiah 17:5-9; Luke 6:43-45

The world tells us to follow our hearts, and to be true to ourselves. This is terrible advice. Scripture communicates something quite contrary to the world’s advice: Don’t follow your heart. In Jeremiah 17:9, we are told that our hearts are deceitful above all things and beyond cure. What are we to do with this dilemma? There really is only one solution: Follow God’s heart!
