The Abrahamic Covenant provides promises that the Messiah would not only come from Abraham’s line, but that the blessings would extend to all who, by faith, would trust in the Messiah who would come. Galatians chapter three expresses what has been gained by all believers because of Abraham. Through God’s command to Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his one and only son, in Genesis chapter twenty-two we see the incredible events that foreshadow the once for all, never to be repeated, sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
